Welcome
Hello! I'm Mariana

I’m Mariana, a passionate and experienced Pilates teacher with over a decade of guiding people to feel stronger, freer, and more at home in their bodies. My approach is all about precision, curiosity, and joy in movement. Whether you’re new to Pilates or deepening a long-term practice. I work with people of all levels, combining matwork and studio equipment to meet your unique needs. I believe that when we move with awareness, we change not just our posture, but how we show up in life. More grounded, more present, more ourselves.

My Story
I first came to this work through my own experience of injury. After a childhood gymnastics injury left me with scoliosis and persistent back pain, I spent years searching for ways to feel better in my body. Yoga helped. But it was Pilates that gave me a new kind of connection. One rooted in body awareness, precision, and control. I went on to qualify as a Mat Pilates teacher in 2013, and I’ve trained continuously since then: I now hold Master Mat and Studio certifications, teach HIP Pilates, and have specialist training in scoliosis, osteoporosis, hypermobility, children, pregnancy, lower back care, KCR (Kinetic Chain Release), and the Hypopressive method.
My Approach
My teaching is grounded in helping you feel at ease in your body, not just during your sessions, but in everyday life. Whether you’re carrying shopping, sitting at a desk, climbing a wall, or chasing after your kids, Pilates gives you tools to move with more strength, control, and comfort. My background in rock climbing taught me that movement should support your passions, not cause pain, and that’s the spirit I bring to every class. Through breath, flow, and mindful technique, we work together to build resilience, flexibility, and a more confident relationship with your body.

What is Hypopressive breathing technique?
Hypopressive is a breathing and movement method that helps to improve or rehabilitate the pelvic floor and core healthy functions, achieving strength, also flexibility to the group of muscles involved. Hypopressive uses the same skeletal anatomical alignment that we use in Pilates, and the same intercostal or lateral breathing. In addition, you are going to learn the Apnoea technique to reduce pressure to the Pelvic floor and to improve the whole core function. You will gain confidence in your body, calm the central nervous system. For athletes, women and men, running, climbing, surfing, or playing any sports, Hypopressive technique exercises improve breathing efficiency, support spine and skeletal alignment and postural awareness to enhance performance.
What is Pilates?
Joseph Pilates developed the method called Contrology back in 1926. After his death the method became popular under his name.

The Contrology method was developed for complete coordination of body, mind and spirit. It aligns and builds the body uniformly, corrects damaging postures, improves physical enjoyment, stimulates the mind and elevates the spirit. If you faithfully perform suitable Contrology exercises only three or four times a week for three months you will experience noticeable improvements. Pilates practice will progressively introduce the fundamental principles: breathing, centering, concentration, control, flow, precision and alignment. You will find yourself moving more freely in your daily life.
